Introduction

First post on a first blog - kindof pathetic, but oh well. I am unsure of how to go about this introduction (facebook profiles and those idiotic email quizzes that I do so many of come to mind). But I suppose simply the basics.

I was going to list of your actual basics, hair, eye colour, age, name - but what would that tell anyone about my character? Not much.

Instead, here's a list of what I spend my time on, some "why"s and various other nonsense.

Theatre is one of my passions, the newest and most prominent at the moment. Acting is not one. Being a techy in theatre is something that was never considered because I deplore acting, even though I am a drama queen. Make sense? Hope not. My favorite fields include set design, costuming and especially stage management/production management. Need me to do lighting or sound? Shoot me. Musicals, in particular, jump out at me. Some of my favorites include Hello, Dolly!, Lion King, Sweet Charity, Fiddler on the Roof, Urinetown, Spring Awakening, Wicked and The Producers.

Music is next. No, I don't own a record player or 4000 CDs or spend all my time on Limewire, but I do love my music. My mp3 player (an e280 Sansa) is always with me. I enjoy every genre of music from rock, American pop and country to Japanese acid/punk, revival swing and reggae. Certain artists that I detest: Girlicious, Souja Boy, Green Day, Lindsay Lohan/Paris Hilton. 'Nuff said.

Books. Good/bad, old/new. Fiction/non-fiction. I was the kid that sat under the slide, alone, at recess reading the newest Magic Tree House. Ones I recommend: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, Nelson Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, Uglies Series, The Da Vinci Code, Othello, JPod, Shattering Glass, Of Mice and Men, Stone Carvers and The Stranger.

Another is Activism (most humanitarian) and Volunteerism.

A blog. Something I never thought I'd get, much less plan to keep up. I could go on about every thing, anything, and that is - I suppose - the purpose of a blog anyways. Its rambling. But, I enjoy it anyways. I have committed to one post every 2 days as long as I keep up my other commitments too.
